Harley-Davidson owners to storm Rajasthan from March 8-10, 2014 at Western HOG Ride
Rajasthan, the city of lakes is all set to play host to hundreds of Harley-Davidson owners and their families, as they converge from March 8-10, 2014 for the third edition of Western HOG Ride, the first such event in the state, according to a company statement. HOG or Harley-Davidson Owners Group, members from across all 13 chapters in the country will saddle their machines to embark on this one big ride. The last time, the region witnessed a roaring display of metal and chrome was when Dunes Harley-Davidson was kick-started in the Pink City of Jaipur, back in December 2013. 
Over the course of two days in Udaipur, HOG members will actively participate in a host of fun filled and engaging activities such as burnouts, arm-wrestling and the very special HOG Custom Contest that invites entries from all members across India to find the best customised motorcycle across all platforms. There will a live band as well to ensure there is never a dull moment as the HOG members soak-in the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie.

British Actress Hazel Keech surfs in Pondicherry sea
Renowned for her versatility, be it her work in films or her passion for dancing, the British actress Hazel Keech, who was last seen in the 7th season of the popular TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ was in Pondicherry trying her hands on the amazing water sport ‘Surfing’. This is the first time that the ‘Bodyguard’ actress has indulged herself into something so adventurous and exciting.
Talking about her experience, Keech expresses, “It was mid 2012 when my friend and I arranged a surf trip to Pondicherry that urged me to learn the water sport and fall in love with it. With three lessons I have been upgraded from a nine feet board to an eight feet board. I managed to maintain my balance on the board during my very first lesson itself for which the credit goes to Kallilay Surf School. They have experienced instructors who have been surfing from a very young age and are teaching surfing since 2008″.
“The whole experience of managing to balance on the surf board itself is so enjoyable that I couldn’t wait to try it. Surfing is indeed very great for peace of mind and keeps a person fit. When you’re riding the wave you’re living 100 percent in the moment. The best part is that the mind stops thinking and the more you think the harder it gets to surf.

Tata Motors T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship to be held at BIFC Greater Noida on March 23, 2014
Tata Motors today announced the launch of the T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP to bring truck racing to India for the first time. The first ever truck racing championship in India, has been inscribed on the calendars of FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) and FMSCI (the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India). The Truck Racing Championship will be held on March 23, 2014, at the internationally acclaimed Budh International Circuit to give Indian audiences a grand spectacle of trucks competing against each other, according to a company statement.
T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP is being conducted under the aegis of FIA & FMSCI. The FIA is the governing body for world motor sport and the federation of the world’s leading motoring organisations. One of the core responsibilities of the FIA is the development of motor sport worldwide. Through its national member clubs the FIA is involved in every level of motor sport and its remit extends to the millions of amateurs and professionals who enjoy motor sport in all of its variety. The FMSCI is a long-standing member of the FIA and is the only national motor sport federation recognised by the Government of India, for the promotion and control of motor sport in India, and is affiliated to the prestigious Indian Olympic Association.
The championship will feature 12 Tata PRIMA trucks, built for the purpose. These will be divided among six teams, with participation from experienced international drivers. The T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP is being organised by (MMSCI), with safety and performance standards being followed as per (BTRA) British Truck Racing Association guidelines. Cummins, WABCO, JK Tyres, Castrol and Accenture are the main sponsors, while Tata Steel, Setco Automotive, RSB Group and TRW Steering Systems Ltd. are the associate sponsors.

Tata Prima 4038.S will compete in the T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 2014, with the massive power of 370 BHP @ 2100 RPM and a top speed of 110 Km/h. To make these Prima trucks fit for racing, 22 key modifications were made to meet a mix of safety and performance needs as per guidelines from British Truck Racing Association. These included significant changes in fuel tank, brake cooling system, propeller shaft guards, racing seats and safety belts, exhaust, steering wheel among others. The trucks have gone through multiple quality checks and also tested on the test circuit at Jamshedpur for high speed run and control.
Buddh International F1 Circuit, acclaimed to be the best race circuit in India, will host the inaugural T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP. On the Race day, there will be two races. The first one a qualifier race, followed by the main race, seeing a rolling start of big Tata Prima race trucks. A pool of internationally acclaimed drivers, with proven excellence in the field of Truck Racing like British Truck Racing championship and European Truck Racing championship, has been created for this mega event.
Tata T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP will also witness two-time British truck racing champion, Steve Horne. As one of the most celebrated, longest serving truck racing drivers, Steve Horne has been instrumental in multiple operational aspects of India’s first truck racing championship. A historic event even from the FIA point of view who have been encouraging India to expand its footprint in motorsports globally.
