Ocare: First online platform for dentists and insured patients launched

OCARE, (ocare.com), India’s first, and only, independent Insurance Process as a Service (IPAAS) platform, on February 16, 2017 launched its fully integrated improved website aiming to connect empanelled dentists and insured patients on a single digital platform.


Speaking on the launch, Dr. Neeraj Sheth, Founder & CEO, OCARE, said, “While insurance has been around for many years now, dental insurance is a new concept in India. Dental Insurance is a completely new concept and there are quite a few queries on what dental insurance is and how the entire process works right from when a patient enters the clinic, the dentist outlining their treatment plan to details of the claim reimbursement process. All these questions are answered in an easy 4 step process in the ‘How it Works section’ of the website.

Further questions about dentist empanelment, insurance coverage and turnaround time are answered in the Help/FAQ section to assist both prospective patients and dentists. The terms and condition section on the website clearly outlines the treatments covered, exclusions and costs.

Once a dentist registers with OCARE, he can enter all the details related to his practice, treatment and costs. He can use the scheduler to manage his appointments and patients. Dentists will also use this platform to enter details related to the treatment plan, costs and sharing an OPG of the decayed tooth and the tooth post treatment. This also ensures all dental records are maintained digitally and can be accessed at any time. Patients can use this platform to book appointments at a preferred dentist based on location and convenience they can view their medical and treatment history and most importantly use it for their dental insurance claim process.

OCARE brings to you Dental Insurance for the first time in India. Love Matters: India’s first bilingual website launched at QTube Cafe in Bandra

Love Matters , India’s first bilingual website dedicated to love, sexuality and relationships organized a one of its kind Open mic session on Valentine day on February 14, 2017 in Mumbai’s quiet but hip QTube Café in Bandra. The event saw a jam packed venue where many came forward to share their tryst with love, sexuality or identity, their take on relationships, family, and society. The gathering was of young and old people, many came with their parents to taste the non judgmental and open minded session.

While speaking at the event, Vithika Yadav, RNW Head-India, Love Matters India, said: “We organized this open mic session as a true free speech event for young Mumbaikars to come together and have an opportunity to have frank and open conversations on love, sexuality and relationships.”

Love Matters opened its doors for everyone and the differences of Mumbai walked in, slightly unsure and then they took to the stage, and all those differences dissolved to form, what united them for that moment forming a road of open dialogue. With an opportunity to share openly, people poured their hearts out; what they felt about love, lessons they have learnt on the way, good and bad both, how they feel towards every individual deserving a fair chance to love who they want, to freely talking about their sexuality, about society’s perception, attitude and acceptance of every individual.

Ease of doing business index: Maharashtra has humongous potential

Maharashtra has the potential to emerge as a high ranking state on the ease of doing business index. Mukesh Aghi, President, US-India Business Council (USIBC) said.

Speaking at the meeting between the group of US Industry executives from USIBC and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis recently, Aghi said: “The Council’s member firms have been encouraged by the ease of doing business in the State and many of the companies have significant investments in Maharasthra.
