Satinder Singh Bajwa appointed VP Sales of Nissan India

The Chennai-based Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) has appointed Satinder Singh Bajwa as Vice President – Sales, Network and Customer Relations with effect from April 13, 2015.

According to a company statement, Bajwa will report to Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, NMIPL and he will be responsible for accelerating sales, besides expanding the reach and ensuring customer satisfaction for both Nissan and its sister brand, Datsun across the country. Bajwa brings with him two decades of experience in cross functions including sales, marketing, dealer management and key account management in the automotive horizon. Before joining Nissan, Bajwa has served Hyundai Motor India Limited as Group Head – Sales. He has also served auto firms such as Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Piaggio and Bajaj Auto Limited.

Malhotra said: “As we continue to make quick and firm progress in taking Nissan Group of India to its next level it is imperative that we grow and nurture a robust sales and service backbone to ensure customer satisfaction. We have found a strong professional in Bajwa who brings with him vast experience that can help meet our business goals.”

Bajwa has an MBA in Marketing from Institute of Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Communication, Pune. He also holds a Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical) degree from KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, affiliated to the Karnataka University.


NMIPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co of Japan. The company was incorporated in 2005 and offers innovative and exciting products across hatchback, MUV, SUV and sedan segments in India. Nissan together with its global alliance partner Renault set up a manufacturing plant and a Research & Development Centre near Chennai. Nissan in India has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun.



Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the return of the Datsun brand, Nissan’s third global brand, alongside Nissan and Infiniti, in March 2012. Datsun provides a sustainable motoring experience to optimistic up-and-coming customers in high-growth markets.
