Kingdom of Dreams, India’s incredible live entertainment destination will celebrate the cause of women’s empowerment and emancipation on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2015 with a variety of activities.
The freedom to make a choice and celebrate womanhood in all its facets will be brought to life with some beautiful engagements at Kingdom of Dreams.
Leading the cause will be live entertainment by an all women’s band which will bring women of different nationalities together on stage to create music which knows no boundaries, according to a company statement.
An International All Women World Music band “White Lilies” is an eclectic all-‐women world trio comprising of Thu Le (Vietnam)on classical guitar, Pragnya Wakhlu (India) on vocals and guitar and Asya (Russia) on the tabla, Cajun and didgeridoo and Nathalie (Mexico) on flute and vocals. The “WhiteLilies” music is a mellifluous fusion of Middle-Eastern, Russian, Latin-American & Western Classical music with Indian influences. Together these three women are a musical force to reckon with, a treat to the eyes and the musical senses.
The band performance will be followed by a short play organised by NGO CARE India which is partnering with Kingdom of Dreams to celebrate the cause of women empowerment, especially women and girls from marginalised communities. Children of UDAAN a girl education programme at Mewat by CARE India, will enact a short play portraying the challenges, opportunities and the great sense of well-being in their school and community. Visitors to the magnificent Kingdom of Dreams will be encouraged to share their pledge as well as leave an imprint of their hand on the Pledge Wall created by CARE India at the venue. They can also engage in other interesting activities like clicking selfies with their personal pledge against a surprise backdrop and tweet or Instagram it to their friends to show their solidarity with the cause.
A flea market with enticing wares on display will create shopping options for the Women to pick and choose and shop to their heart’s content from. The exhibition with a plethora of shopping kiosks will be a good stopover for the fashion freaks, shopaholics and art lovers with a choice of mesmerising fashion apparel, home décor, home furnishings, costume jewellery, electronic accessories, handloom products, handicrafts and traditional ethnic wear. To observe this Special Day entry to Kingdom of Dreams will be Free of Cost for the Women visitors. The evening which will commence at 6:00pm onwards will give joy and happiness to the delightful women and their families.
