The Goa Photo 2015 outdoor festival will kick-start at Panaji in Goa on February 25 with the theme: ‘The Other’ – An exploration of the many ways of making a portrait and the show will go on till March 7.
The festival is staged in public places with a theme showcasing contemporary photography. Large-format photographic displays will be the highliht and it is aiming at synergising with the urban landscape and architectural heritage of Panaji and the Reis Magos Heritage Centre.
According to a media statement, 19 exhibitors including Bharat Sikka, Joel Tettamanti, Cristina de Middel, Max Pinckres, Eurio Lino do Vale are taking part in this festival. Along with the photo exhibition, a gamut of programmes such as panel discussions, presentations and workshops related to photograph with well known photographers, curators and critics will also be held. Goa Photo 2015 is conceived by Nikihil Padgaonkar and Lola Mac Dougall, along with Delhi based Ishan Tanka, the former Photo Editor of Tehelka and Frank Kalero, globally renowned photography curator.
