The Pune-based Indian subsidiary of the German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz India, following its ‘Live the Best’ philosophy organised a two day new customer engagement platform called ‘Luxe Drive’ on February 21, 2015.
A company statement said that the Luxe Drive was held basically to provide the best and the most comprehensive luxury experience to its buyers across the country. Luxe Drive engaged its patronns through a combination of adrenalin, gourmet and haute couture. The event was held at Indradhanush Auditorium located at Sector 5, Panchkula in Chandigarh.
Luxe Drive, apart from giving adrenalin gushing experience of driving the premium Mercedes-Benz cars, the seamless experience also indulged wannabe buyers with culinary delights, whipped up by Michelin Star chef, Vikas Khanna.
Also, the participants interacted with Khanna, besides being part of this luxury gourmet experience with him. The excitement was topped-off with a high street fashion through top global brands from The Collective. A styling consultant also was present enhancing the customers’ style quotient.

One of its kind customer engagements like Luxe Drive, reiterates that we Mercedes-Benz is on the right path to create fascination and delight for its existing as well as potential customers, especially in the emerging tier II and III markets, which are the future growth drivers.”
This one of its kind Mercedes-Benz Luxe Drive had not only showcased the expertise and superior performance of the German premium car manufacturer’s sedans and SUVs through a series of self-driving exercises on a specially designed test track, but also an ‘Offroad’ parcour structure, imported from Germany especially for the SUV Demonstration and Self Drive experience, was in place.
Self-drive and demonstrations with range of SUVs comprising the GLA, GL and the ML Class demonstrated the – PROENGINEERING Package demonstration for 40 degree slope, Hill Hold Assist, Downhill Speed Regulation demonstration, 4-MATIC and AIRMATIC Suspension demonstration. The guests at Luxe Drive also got a demo for Pre-safe, ABS and EBD in AMGs and sedans like the C-Class and the E-Class experiencing the ‘Ah My God’ experience. There was also a nine cars display for customers who experienced the latest range of products from Mercedes-Benz portfolio, including the Dream Cars and the New Generation cars. A range of vehicles were also made available for the guests to choose from for a thrilling test drive.
A special zone for exclusive Mercedes-Benz mercchandise was another highlight. Besides that a special kids zone and MercedesTrophy zone with MercedesTrophy goodies were on display. Also, the guests got a free car evaluation from Mercedes-Benz Certified team along with an opportunity for special trade-in and personalised finance offers.
India’s finest celebrity chef Vikas Khanna was whipping up some luxuriously exotic fare during the events and he was present on-ground to interact with the guests. A lucky winner got the chance to interact with him. Khanna is a versatile genius and an award winning Michelin starred Indian chef, cookbook writer, restauranteur, humanitarian and film maker all rolled into one. Khanna is acclaimed as the hottest chef in the US.
A one of its kind luxury retail concept, The Collective, the Mercedes-benz’s luxury partner for the event, is known for its breadth of exclusive fashion. With over 100 of the world’s best fashion brands under one roof, this unique lifestyle store offered the connoisseurs a unique point of view on each individual’s own personal style. The store displayed select luxury brands for the guests were to engage with guests, sharing the brand history, styling and their latest collection.
