Raj Banerji is the new Chief Financial Officer of Apollo Tyres Limited, replacing Sunam Sarkar, who has been redesignated as President and Chief Business Officer, according to a company statement.
Neeraj Kanwar, CMD, Apollo Tyres, said: “We are on the cusp of our next phase of growth globally. Having a person like Raj join our global team at this crucial time, with a strong international experience, will provide further impetus to this growth, and at the same time, contribute to the organisation’s overall financial health and stability.”
Banerji’s last assignment was with one of India’s largest private companies, where he worked as Chief Financial Officer for the Refining business,. Prior to that, he had a two decade career with BP (formerly British Petroleum) in various leadership roles in Oil Exploration, Commodity Trading, Marketing and Refining. With a total of 24 years of working experience in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, he has handled key functions such as Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Planning and Performance Management and Risk Management. Banerji is reporting to Neeraj Kanwar.
