The PHD Chamber Annual Award for Excellence 2014 was recently conferred on Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer & Tyre Research Institute (HASETRI) in skill developement category.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, handed over the Award and Citation to Arun K Bajoria, President & Director, JK Tyre & Industries Limited and Dr. R Mukopadhyay, Director and CE, HASETRI in Le Meridien, New Delhi on December 20, 2014, according to a statement issued by HASETRI.
HASETRI is India’s first and foremost independent Research and Testing Centre, which fulfills the Nation’s need for developing newer and better technologies for Elastomer and Tyres. Established in 1997, PHD Chamber Annual Awards for Excellence recognises Indian businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals for their outstanding achievements / contributions in select areas and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas.
The distinguished Jury who deliberated to finalise the winners this year included Sudarshan Agarwal, Former Governor of Uttarakhand and Sikkim; Sunil Kant Munjal, Joint Managing Director, Hero MotorCorp Ltd and SY Quraishi, Former Chief Election Commissioner, under the Chairmanship of Dr Justice AS Anand, Former Chief Justice of India. HASETRI is India’s first and foremost independent Research and Testing Centre, to cater to the need of rubber and allied industries at National and International level.
HASETRI is recognised under Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Govenment of India. HASETRI is also acknowledged by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and other universities for registration leading to higher studies.
