Hyundai Motor India bags Top Exporter of the Year Award for 2012-13 from EEPC India

The Chennai-based Hyundai Motor India Limited, the subsidiary of Korean auto major, Hyundai Motor Co and the country’s largest auto exporter besides being the second largest passenger car manufacturer has announced that it received the Gold Trophy at the 45th EEPC INDIA National Awards for Export Excellence for being the Top Exporter in the year 2012-13 in the Large enterprise category.
Dr James S Mutende, Minister of State for Industry and Technology, Uganda presented the award to senior HMIL officials in an award ceremony held in Mumbai, a company statement said. Hyundai has milestone achievements in the export market by offering its modern premium products to over 120 countries in the European and non-European markets. The company has retained its position of being the largest passenger car exporter since 2004, with a market leadership of 45 percent. During the year 2012-13, Hyundai exported 259,811 cars to diverse markets with a growth of 9.4 percent in the year.

HMIL currently exports 40 percent of its total production to countries across EU, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific.
