Grand Finale of Polo R Cup 2013, A battle among the South, West and North for the title

The battle for championship is yet again down to wire. Prashanth (Chennai) leads the charts with 256 points followed closely by Rahil (Mumbai) and Angad Singh Matharoo (Chandigarh) with 232 points and 222 points respectively. Prashanth’s brother, Karthik Tharani (Chennai) with 218 points and Junior Cup driver Yatin Magu (Delhi) with 209 points who could also surprise with top performances to get ahead of others. It is a fight between the South, West and North with 5 drivers having a clear shot at the title. The Grand Finale, Round 4, will continue at the BIC, Greater Noida between November 30 and December 01.
The top five drivers of Polo R Cup 2013 are closely placed on the championship standings and it could be anyone’s title with three races to compete. With the drivers having the flexibility of choosing their nine best results out of the ten races of the year, it could be anyone of the top five coming through as the champion. Besides the usual races, there will be a special support race comprising all women. These international women race drivers are from Scandinavia and East Europe and will be racing in India for the first time. They will be racing in Volkswagen Race Polo TDIs in the Ultima Queens’ Cup. With Buddh International Circuit playing the perfect host for races, the action in this season-ender is one to watch out for. Other attractions would include stunt performances in Polo race cars between the sessions.
